SANTA CLARA COUNTY WATER SKI CLUB GENERAL SESSION MEETING Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 7:00 PM Attendees: Steve D, Sully, John C, Gordon S, Dave Olsen, Larry, Gordon Jensen, Russ Selsor, Jay, Bruce, and Scott Graham

General Session Call to Order by President Gordon Simmons at 7:00 PM Guest welcome - No guests Pond Update

Dam construction.

○ Bladder & Pump house is done and will be tested 5/20 with a temporary generator

○ PGE easement to get power to the pump house is still an issue and is expected to take several months to resolve

Pond Filling

○ Currently Valley Water(VW) is not inclined to fill the pond, citing over-saturation of groundwater tables North of the pond

○ VW is not running replacement water

○ VW is not moving water to our area

○ No time frame for filling the pond in the near future, it’s an issue beyond the Clubs control. Board will continue regular follow up and advocacy with the VW Facilities Update

● 2 work parties held, quite productive

● Extensive course work complete to install subfloats, weed abatement, ramp berm reduction, fix of North 55 positioning, berm markers, dock and bench refinishing

● Open items are guardrail/fence remodel near the stairs due to bank erosion

● May need to recover the subfloats if the pond is not filled.

● Ongoing discussion on how to shore up the turn ball 1 and 2 anchors which have been undermined by the current.

● $50 stipend to boat owners
