SCCWSC Monthly Meeting 20250403
7:00 PM
· Pond / Dam update:
o Power pole easement was scheduled to go to County Board 2/25 but not on agenda because County updated easement verbiage and PG&E has yet to review (as of 4/1). Once both sides agree to language, County will bring to board. Legal (county) involved in verbiage so hopefully will close soon. Date of next County board meeting unknown (however, although unclear which board this is being brough up in, internet search shows next meetings of both County Board of Supervisors and Valley Water Board are scheduled 4/22/25).
o Some ‘off-line work/prep’ (to make sure cement pad and pedestal are ready for approval) is being done. Once County Board approves easement, work could go quickly.
o At this point Valley Water has no known schedule of completion.
· New invasive mussels (in addition to zebra and quagga):
o Golden Mussels were discovered fall 2024 in the delta in multiple locations (some near Berkeley delta site) and as far south as O’Neil Forebay (which supplies San Luis Reservoir). Since San Luis supplies Calero and the south bay water supply, it is expected Golden Mussels will eventually be in Calero and other parts of the south bay (Coyote and Anderson are a different watershed and not impacted). A decontamination station may be installed at Calero at some time (’26?). More information including any potential future direct impact to the club will be provided as available
· Grand American:
o Remi advised that Lakeside has purchased an almost new (13hrs) 2022 Mastercraft lake boat that will be available for Grand American.
· No other topics discussed this month.
Adjournment: 7:26pm
